The owner

Meet Bobby

Bobby lives in Putnam Valley and has spent the last 10 years in the pool trade across the Hudson Valley. He started doing openings and closings for a handful of neighbors, and the business grew the way most good trades do: one referral at a time. Openings, closings, weekly service, equipment, liners, covers. He's done all of it, on inground and above-ground pools, in backyards from Mahopac to Hopewell Junction.

Bobby Bahama Pools is his company, and he's still the one who picks up when you call. When you book a service, Bobby confirms the date and the price himself, and either he or the crew he works with every day is the one at your gate. The company is insured and certified, and the work gets done right the first time.

Experience

10 Years in the Pool Trade

Ten years is long enough to learn what the Hudson Valley does to a pool. Oak and maple leaves that drop late and clog a skimmer in a day. Freeze-thaw cycles that find every weak fitting on an equipment pad. Lake-community pools that run heavy on pollen in May and algae in August. A liner that looked fine in September and split by April because the water got too low over the winter.

We've seen those problems enough times to catch them early. A closing done right in October makes the April opening easy. A weekly visit with a real water test keeps the pool from going green in July. Most expensive repairs start as maintenance that got skipped.

Our approach

How We Work

We show up when we said.

You get a date, and we keep it. If weather pushes a closing, you hear from us before the day, not after.

We tell you what you need, not what we can sell.

If a pump can be repaired for the price of a seal, we repair it. If it's on its last season, we say so and quote the replacement.

We leave a note.

Every weekly visit ends with a short rundown: what the water tested at, what we added, anything we noticed. You always know the state of your pool.

We work on every kind of pool.

Inground and above-ground. Vinyl liner, gunite, fiberglass. Saltwater or chlorine. We do all of them.

Equipment

The Equipment and Brands We Trust

Most of the equipment pads in Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess run on Hayward, Pentair, or Jandy. We work on all three every week: pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems, and automation. For winter safety covers, we install Merlin, Loop-Loc, and Meyco, the three we would put on our own pools.

We don't push a brand because of a dealer relationship. We recommend what fits the pool and the budget, and we'll tell you plainly when the cheaper option is the right one.
