Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
This privacy policy explains what Bobby Bahama LLC, doing business as Bobby Bahama Pools, collects through bobbybahamapools.com, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. We are a pool service company based in Putnam Valley, New York, serving Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess County. This policy is effective as of November 3, 2026.
Information you give us
The only information we collect from you directly is what you type into our forms. The quick quote form on most pages asks for your name, phone number, email address, and the service you need, and on the contact page it also has a message box. The quote wizard on the homepage asks for your pool type, your town, the service you need, when you want the work done, how you prefer to be reached, and your name, phone number, and email address. Every form carries a checkbox that reads: By sending this form you agree to share your contact details with Bobby Bahama Pools and to our Privacy Policy. It is unchecked until you tick it, and the form records which page it was sent from.
Each form also includes a hidden field, named _gotcha, that a person never sees or fills in. Automated spam software tends to fill every field it finds, so a submission with that field filled in is discarded and never reaches us.
Where your submission goes
Submissions are received and stored by Basin, the form service this website uses, and Basin forwards each one by email to our business inbox. Both copies exist. Basin keeps its copy on its own servers, which may be outside the United States, under its own privacy policy and with its own service providers. We use what you send us to reply to you, to prepare a quote, and to schedule the work.
How we use it, and what we do not do
We use your information only to respond to your request and to carry out the work you ask for. If you give us a phone number, we may call or text you back about your request. We do not send marketing texts or marketing emails, we do not use automated dialing or messaging, and we do not add you to any mailing list. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. You can tell us to stop contacting you at any time, by any means, and we will.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions in Basin and in our inbox for up to four years (1,460 days) after your inquiry, and longer only where a submission relates to work we did for you and our business or tax records require it. If you ask us to delete your submission sooner, we will delete it from both places.
Information collected automatically
This website uses Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand in aggregate how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and whether the contact form is reached. Google sets cookies and similar identifiers in your browser to do this and processes that data under its own privacy policy; Google explains that processing on its page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. We see aggregate reports, not names. Our cookies policy lists what is set and how to refuse it.
Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel. Serving a page to your browser involves processing technical data, including your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, in the ordinary logs a web host keeps.
Maps
Pages that show a map embed it from Google Maps. The map loads only when you scroll to it, and once it loads, Google may set cookies and receive your IP address under its own policy.
Do Not Track and other parties
This website does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because there is no agreed standard for how a website should respond to them. Third parties such as Google may collect information about your activity over time and across different websites when you visit sites that use their tools; their policies, not this one, govern that collection.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on to stop Google Analytics in that browser. You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, through the contact page, and we will do what the law requires. We are a New York business and New York law applies to how we handle your information. Privacy rights differ by state; whatever rights the law of your state gives you, we will honor.
Children
This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top of the page.
