Cookies Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognize that browser later. Similar things include browser storage and the identifiers that analytics tools use. This page lists what bobbybahamapools.com uses and how to control it.
Analytics cookies
Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, sets cookies in the _ga family (such as _ga, and _ga_ followed by an identifier) to tell returning browsers from new ones and to measure how pages are used. These cookies are set by Google and read by Google; we see aggregate reports. Google Tag Manager itself sets no cookies of its own on this site.
Cookies from embedded maps
The homepage, the service area pages, and the contact page embed a map from Google Maps. The map loads when you scroll to it, and once it has loaded, Google may set its own cookies, which are governed by Google's policies rather than ours.
Browser storage this site uses itself
The quote wizard on the homepage keeps your progress through its steps in your browser's session storage, under the name bbp_wiz, so a page reload does not lose what you have chosen. It never stores your name, phone number, or email address there. The thank-you page sets a session storage flag named bbp_lead_sent so that reloading it does not count your request twice in our analytics. Both are cleared when you close the browser tab.
None of these are required
The website works without any of these cookies. You can refuse analytics cookies without losing any feature, and the forms work with cookies blocked.
How to control them
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings, and most let you block third-party cookies on their own, which covers the map embed. To stop Google Analytics in a browser, install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

How we handle the information you send through our forms is covered in the privacy policy. The date at the top of this page changes whenever what the site sets changes.
