About Serving Westchester
Northern Westchester is where most of our Westchester work happens. Yorktown, Somers, and Cortlandt are a short drive from Putnam Valley, which means a weekly route day, a quick turnaround on repairs, and no scheduling games. The pools here are mostly inground vinyl on postwar and 1970s lots, with a steady share of above-ground pools in Jefferson Valley, Shrub Oak, Mohegan Lake, and the lake communities around Shenorock and Lincolndale. Many of them are reaching the age where liners, pumps, and filters need attention, and that's a lot of what we do.
Further south and east, in Bedford, Katonah, Chappaqua, Armonk, and Pound Ridge, the properties are bigger and the pools are too: gunite and custom vinyl with heaters, salt systems, automation, and safety covers that need an experienced hand. We take on estate pool service in these towns on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, and we're set up for the equipment that comes with them. Scarsdale, Rye, and Harrison are at the far end of the route; we serve them, and we'll be upfront about scheduling.
Westchester's reservoirs and the Croton watershed shape the whole county. Heavy tree cover means heavy leaf load in fall and heavy pollen in May, and that affects how we close and open pools here. We plan for it.

Our Work in Westchester
Our Westchester work is a mix of weekly service on inground vinyl pools in Yorktown and Somers subdivisions, spring openings and fall closings on the larger properties along Route 100 and Route 35, liner replacements on pools that have hit the ten-year mark, and the steady equipment work that comes with heaters and salt systems. Above-ground pools in the lake communities get the same attention. See the gallery for recent openings, deep cleans, and cover installs.

Year-round
Pool Care Through the Westchester Seasons
Spring
Pool opening season in Westchester County starts in mid-April. We work the schedule north to south, Yorktown and Somers first, then down toward Bedford and Chappaqua. May pollen off the oaks around the reservoirs means an opening here usually includes a second skim and a filter clean a week later.
Summer
Weekly pool service in Westchester is the backbone of the season. Heat waves in July push chemistry out of range in days, and the afternoon thunderstorms that roll over the Taconic bring algae treatment calls from Somers to Cortlandt. Weekly testing is how our customers' pools stay blue through August.
Fall
Pool closing in Westchester County runs from late September through October. The leaf drop in Bedford and Katonah is heavy, so we close those pools with a final deep clean and recommend leaf nets over safety covers. Winterization is the step that matters most; a line that freezes under a Chappaqua deck means a plumbing repair in April.
Winter
Off-season is when we repair safety covers, replace anchors and springs, and plan equipment upgrades so they're installed before opening day. If a pump or heater limped through the summer, a winter quote beats a spring emergency.

Is there a travel fee for Westchester County?
No. There's no travel fee anywhere in Westchester, Putnam, or Dutchess. The price you're quoted for a Chappaqua opening is the price.
When do pool openings start in Westchester County?
Mid-April for most of the county. Yorktown and Somers tend to go first, then the towns farther south. Book in March for your choice of dates.
Do you do weekly pool service in Westchester County?
Yes. Weekly and bi-weekly routes run through Yorktown, Somers, Cortlandt, Mount Kisco, and Bedford. Each customer gets a set day and a note after every visit.
Can you handle high-end pools in Westchester County?
Yes. Heaters, salt systems, automation, and custom safety covers are standard on the larger properties in Bedford, Armonk, and Pound Ridge, and we service all of it.
Do you close pools in Westchester County before the first frost?
Yes. Closings run late September through October, and we schedule the heavily treed properties in Katonah and Bedford after the main leaf drop so the pool goes into winter clean.
