The town

About Serving Bedford

Bedford is in Westchester County, a short drive from Putnam Valley down I-684 or the Saw Mill. It's three hamlets with different pools in each. Bedford Village, where Route 22 and Route 172 share the Old Post Road, has the big properties: estate pools in gunite or custom vinyl with heaters, salt systems, automation, and safety covers, often behind a long drive off Guard Hill Road. The Bedford Oak is the landmark.

Bedford Hills, along Route 117 toward Mount Kisco, has village-sized yards and vinyl pools that need weekly care and, as they age, liners and pumps. Katonah falls between the two, and the properties out toward the Cross River Reservoir run large and wooded. The whole town is Croton watershed, so it's wooded: pollen in May, and a leaf drop in October that decides when the cover goes on.

Our Work in Bedford

Bedford's pools run from estate gunite behind the stone walls of Bedford Village to village vinyl in Bedford Hills, so they need the whole trade: heaters, salt systems, and automation on the large properties, safety covers measured to custom shapes, liner replacement and pump work on the older village pools, and openings and closings everywhere. Weekly service keeps the water clear between them. The gallery shows recent work across the route: openings, deep cleans, and cover installs.

Year-round

Pool Care Through the Bedford Seasons

Spring

Pool opening in Bedford starts mid-April. On an estate pool that means heater, salt cell, and automation brought back online and checked; on a Bedford Hills village pool it means the pump and filter looked over for winter damage before the first vacuum. May pollen off the oaks around the reservoirs usually earns a second skim.

Summer

Weekly pool service in Bedford keeps the water clear through the July heat, when chemistry drifts out of range in days, and the heater and salt system get a look on every visit. A note is left after every visit.

Fall

Pool closing in Bedford runs late September through October. The wooded lots toward the Cross River Reservoir and the Mianus close last, after the main leaf drop, with a full cleanup first. Every line is blown out, because a line that freezes under a Bedford deck means a plumbing repair in April.

Winter

Off-season is for safety cover repairs, replacement anchors and springs, heater and automation upgrades on the estate pools, and liner measuring in Bedford Hills and Katonah so the work is done before opening day.

Bedford Pool Service FAQ

Do you serve Bedford Village, Bedford Hills, and Katonah?

All three. Bedford Village off Route 22 and Route 172, Bedford Hills along Route 117, and Katonah around its station and out toward the Cross River Reservoir are all on our Westchester route.

Can you take on an estate pool in Bedford Village?

Yes. Heaters, salt systems, automation, and custom safety covers on gunite and large vinyl pools are the equipment we service every week, in Hayward, Pentair, and Jandy. We're insured and certified, and the price is set before anyone arrives.

Do you offer weekly pool service in Bedford Hills and Katonah?

Yes. A set day all season, with a short note after every visit saying what was tested, what was added, and what we noticed.

Do you replace pool liners in Bedford Hills?

Yes. The village-sized inground pools along the Route 117 corridor are vinyl, and when a liner fades, wrinkles, or starts losing water at the seams we measure it, order it, and install it. Above-ground liners too.

When do you close pools in Katonah?

Late September through October. The wooded lots toward the Cross River Reservoir and Caramoor close after the main leaf drop with a full cleanup first, so the cover isn't carrying a month of leaves into winter.

How far is Bedford from your base?

A short drive from Putnam Valley down I-684, Exit 4 for Bedford Village and Exit 6 for Katonah, or the Saw Mill River Parkway to Bedford Hills. No travel fee anywhere in Westchester County.

Where can I find pool service near me in Bedford?

If you're in Bedford Village, Bedford Hills, or Katonah, or anywhere off Route 22, Route 172, Route 117, or Route 35, you're on our route. Send the form on this page and Bobby calls back the same business day.
