The town
Hopewell Junction and the Town of East Fishkill are in Dutchess County, a short drive from Putnam Valley straight up the Taconic. The subdivisions along Route 82, Route 376, and Route 52 went in during the 1990s and 2000s, and they're full of inground vinyl pools that have reached liner age. The pumps and filters from those same years are wearing out too.
Stormville, Wiccopee, and the Taconic corridor are higher and more wooded, with larger lots and more leaves to deal with at closing. Sylvan Lake, Hillside Lake, and Lake Walton have smaller lake-community lots with more above-ground pools, plus the pollen that comes with water and trees. Fishkill Plains, Gayhead, Shenandoah, and Arthursburg fill in between, and Hopewell Depot on the rail trail is the landmark people use for directions.

Recent jobs
In Hopewell Junction our work is liner replacement first, on the Route 82 and Route 376 subdivision pools, followed by weekly service, openings and closings, equipment repair, and safety cover installs on the larger Stormville lots. Above-ground pools at Sylvan Lake and Hillside Lake get full service too. The gallery shows recent liner installs.

Year-round
Pool opening in Hopewell Junction starts mid-April in the Route 82 subdivisions and a week later on the colder Taconic side in Stormville. Spring is when liner problems show, and a lot of East Fishkill liner replacements get scheduled off the opening visit. Sylvan Lake pollen means a second skim.
Weekly pool service in Hopewell Junction keeps the subdivision pools clear through July, and algae control at Stormville and Fishkill Plains is a weekly job after storms come up the valley. A note is left after every visit.
Pool closing in Hopewell Junction runs late September through October. Wiccopee and the Taconic-side lots close after the leaf drop, covers go on tight along the Route 82 corridor, and every line is blown out.
Off-season is liner season for planning in East Fishkill: measure and order now, install before opening day. Heater installs and safety cover repairs happen while the pool is down.
Bobby Bahama Pools has grown by word of mouth across the Hudson Valley for ten years, and we're collecting our first online reviews now. If you'd like to talk to a current customer near you, ask when you call and we'll make the introduction.
