About Serving Mahopac
Mahopac is in Putnam County, a short drive from our Putnam Valley base. The subdivisions off Route 6, Route 6N, Hill Street, Austin Road, and Crane Road were built from the 1960s through the 1980s, and they're full of inground vinyl pools. A pool that age is on its second or third liner, or due for one, and the pump and filter are often as old as the last liner was.
Lake Mahopac is ringed with shoreline homes, and the waterfront pools lean toward heaters, salt systems, and safety covers. Mahopac Falls, Kirk Lake, Lake Casse, and Long Pond have smaller lots and a good share of above-ground pools. Baldwin Place sits on the Somers line. On paper Mahopac is a hamlet of Carmel. Spring
