About Serving Pleasantville

Pleasantville is a village in Westchester County, a short drive from Putnam Valley down the Saw Mill River Parkway to Route 117. Bedford Road and Manville Road carry Route 117 through the village, and Broadway carries Route 141 up from Thornwood. The Old Village around Bedford Road and Broadway has tight lots, and the yards there and in The Flats hold small inground and above-ground pools: a weekly visit, a cover that fits, and not much equipment.

Toward the edges the properties open up. Usonia, just over the village line, is wooded, and the lots along Route 117 toward Rockefeller State Park Preserve run bigger and shadier. Shaded pools run cold, so those lots carry heaters, plus salt systems, automation, and safety covers sized for the leaf load. Nannahagen Park and the village pool are the landmark.

Our Work in Pleasantville

Pleasantville pools come in two kinds. The village ones need weekly service, openings and closings, and eventually a liner. The Usonia and Route 117 ones need heater, salt system, automation, and safety cover work, plus a leaf-heavy closing. The gallery shows recent work across the route: openings, deep cleans, and cover installs.

Year-round

Pool Care Through the Pleasantville Seasons

Spring

Pool opening in Pleasantville starts mid-April. Shaded pools near Usonia and the preserve warm up slowly and collect pollen through May, so an opening there is often followed by a second skim and a filter clean a week or two later.

Summer

Weekly pool service in Pleasantville keeps village pools clear through the heat, and the wooded lots get their heaters and salt cells checked on every visit, because a scaled-up salt cell stops making chlorine and the pool goes green. A note is left after every visit.

Fall

Pool closing in Pleasantville runs late September through October. The Usonia and Route 117 lots close after the main leaf drop with a full cleanup first; the village pools can go earlier. Every line is blown out and every cover set tight.

Winter

Off-season is for liner measuring, heater and pump upgrades, and safety cover repairs on the wooded lots, so spring opens on time.

Pleasantville Pool Service FAQ

Do you serve the whole village or just the station area?

The whole village: the Old Village, The Flats, the streets off Bedford Road and Manville Road, and the Usonia and Route 117 side just over the village line. All of it is on our Westchester route.

How far is Pleasantville from your base?

A short drive from Putnam Valley down the Taconic and the Saw Mill River Parkway to Exit 29. No travel fee anywhere in Westchester County.

Can you work on a pool in a small village yard?

Yes. Above-ground and small inground pools on tight lots are a big part of what we do. Equipment that sits against a fence or under a deck gets serviced where it is.

Do you install safety covers for the shaded lots around Usonia?

Yes. Merlin, Loop-Loc, and Meyco mesh and solid covers, measured for the pool and anchored into the deck. Under heavy trees the pool gets a full leaf cleanup before the cover goes on, or the cover is holding that weight all winter.

Do you offer weekly pool service in Pleasantville?

Yes. A set day all season, and a short note after every visit saying what was tested, what was added, and what we noticed.

When do pool openings start in Pleasantville?

Mid-April. Sunny village pools go first, the shaded lots toward the preserve a week or two later. Call in March to pick your week.

Where can I find pool service near me in Pleasantville?

If you're in the Old Village, The Flats, Usonia, or anywhere off Bedford Road, Manville Road, or Broadway, you're on our route. Send the form on this page and Bobby calls back the same business day.
