The town
Wappingers Falls is in Dutchess County, a short drive from Putnam Valley up Route 9. The neighborhoods along Route 9, All Angels Hill Road, Old Hopewell Road, and around Myers Corners were built from the 1960s through the 1980s, and the pools are a mix of inground vinyl and above-ground. Pumps and filters on pools that age are near the end of their lives, and liners come due on about the same schedule.
The village has smaller lots around Wappinger Lake with above-ground pools. Hughsonville and Chelsea on the river side along Route 9D have their own neighborhoods, with a little more wind off the Hudson to plan a winter cover around. New Hackensack and Diddell toward the Poughkeepsie line are newer, with larger inground pools and safety covers, and Bowdoin Park is the landmark on the river.

Recent jobs
In Wappingers Falls our work is equipment repair first, on the 1970s and 80s pools along Route 9 and Myers Corners, then weekly service, liner replacements, above-ground openings and closings in the village and Hughsonville, and safety cover installs toward New Hackensack. The gallery shows recent repairs and openings.

Year-round
Pool opening in Wappingers Falls starts mid-April along the river in Hughsonville and Chelsea, then inland to Myers Corners and New Hackensack. The equipment check at every opening is where the aging Wappinger pumps and filters get caught before they fail in July.
Weekly pool service in Wappingers Falls keeps the Route 9 pools clear through the heat, and algae treatment at Myers Corners and Chelsea is a weekly job after storms. The older pumps along All Angels Hill Road are the ones that fail in August; weekly visits catch them.
Pool closing in Wappingers Falls runs late September through October. The wooded lots near Bowdoin Park close after the leaf drop, river-side covers in Hughsonville get tensioned for the wind, and every line is blown out.
Off-season is for pump and filter replacements before spring, safety cover repairs, and liner replacement planning in the Myers Corners and Old Hopewell Road neighborhoods.
Bobby Bahama Pools has grown by word of mouth across the Hudson Valley for ten years, and we're collecting our first online reviews now. If you'd like to talk to a current customer near you, ask when you call and we'll make the introduction.
